Aurora's Paramount Theatre proudly presents a blockbuster line-up for its 2020/21 Broadway Series program. Playing from February 10th - March 28th 2021, smash-hit tuner Groundhog Day continues the season in high spirits. Written by Olivier Award-winning songwriter Tim Minchin and directed by Matthew Warchus, the hilarious musical is an adaptation of Ivan Reitman's classic 1993 comedy which starred Bill Murray.
Every year, the small town of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania comes to a standstill to see whether their local groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, will emerge from his burrow and herald the end of winter. For pessimistic TV weatherman Phil Connors, this charming small town ritual seems like a colossal waste of time, but nevertheless he's packed off to cover the event by his bosses, with long-suffering producer Rita and cameraman Larry in tow. Things go from bad to worse for Phil when he finds himself stuck in a bizarre time loop, waking up every morning in Punxsutawney to relive the same day over and over again....
