Darling it's better, down where it's wetter

Take a magical journey under the sea with Ariel, Scuttle and Sebastian this holiday season with Paramount Theatre's rendition of Disney's smash hit The Little Mermaid! Following her success with last season's Hairspray spectacular, director and choreographer Amber Mak returns to helm the production alongside music director Tom Vedafreddo. Together they'll be bringing the classic story to life on stage with well known songs including Under The Sea And Kiss The Girl, as well as dazzling dance numbers and a set design that emulates the wonder of aquatic life.

From it's jaw-dropping costumes that evoke strange and wonderful sea creatures to a musical score written by legendary composer Alan Menkin and performed by Paramount's own orchestra, the beloved children's tale is perfect festive fun for the whole family. Aimed at ages two and up, this might be a show that even the grandparents won't want to miss!

What Is The Little Mermaid About?

The story follows titular character Ariel, a disney princess with flaming locks and a stubborn streak. The rebellious teen is fascinated with the world above her own and although forbidden to do so by her father King Triton, Ariel journeys to the surface only to fall in love with a human prince. Fascinated by the possibility of life on two legs with Eric, she strikes a deal with sea witch Ursula, trading her beautiful voice for lower limbs. Of course, things don't always go according to plan...
