The Producers

The 12-time Tony-winning classic!
Why see The Producers?
Mel Brooks' Musical Masterpiece!
Adapted from his own 1967 movie, The Producers is Mel Brooks' laugh-a-minute musical romp, packed with larger-than-life characters, wickedly funny double entendres, and some very good bad taste musical numbers. It follows Broadway producer Max Bialystock and his accountant Leo Bloom as they embark on a seemingly foolproof scheme - raise a lot of money for a new musical, but make sure the resulting show is so terrible it closes after opening night. All the remaining investors' money is theirs for the keeping!
Debuting on the Great White Way in 2001, with Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane leading the cast, The Producers won a record-breaking 12 Tony Awards. This Aurora Theatre production is directed by Jim Corti.
